Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Powder In Luminous

A bit of shine, sparkle and hint of glitter any look can be transformed from blah to wow!

Sharing today is the Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmer Powder In Liminous … A super sparkly shimmer powder in silver tone.

It comes in a cardboard box with the Powder in the top compartment and a super soft application brush in the bottom compartment. It has a magnetic closure so the box does not open and glitter bomb your handbags.

OVERALL : The powder is soft and shimmery. The application brush is super soft and picks up just the right amount of powder,  it’s very well constructed and I love the quality. With that being said, I had higher hopes from the powder. As evident by the swatches, on direct light the powder looks illuminating and just luminous but when the light hits at any other angle it’s more of a cheap glitter look. No matter how lite the application is , unless you are looking for the disco ball glitter shimmer …. Skip It.

Urban Decay Peversion vs MAC Zoom Lash

I received the Samples for both the mascara’s and have been equally excited about them both. But comparing then side by side maybe made me choose a winner …

The Perversion is

Our ultra-creamy, lengthening and volumizing mascara features triple-black pigments and a deeply nourishing ingredient blend—for bigger, blacker, badder lashes.

Retails at $22 USD, The best feature has to be the applicator brush! It’s so precise and spread out, doesn’t clump the lashes and doesn’t hit the lids with color touches. The formula dries very quick but doesn’t leave that “dry pulled” lashes kinda feel. Although it did need 2-3 coats for building effects.

This is a comparison of brushes, top one is Mac Zoom Lash and bottom one is Urban Decay Perversion:

Inspite of the Mac being a thinner brush it still touches my eye lids with the color.
Retailing at $16 USD, The Mac zoom Lash is

Major drama. Lasts all day. Creamy, velvety formula builds density and conditions. Feels light, supple. Ultra-sculpted brush has three-sided fibres to embrace and separate each lash, hugging every curve. Coats in one stroke from root to tip. No smudging.

This is a comparison with the Urban Decay Perversion 3 coats on Left in the picture and Mac Zoom Lash 2 coats on the Right in the picture.

OVERALL: Although the Urban Decay might be a quick drying formula and a great applicator the Mac Zoom Lash is definitely a better choice for coverage and dramatic effects. Actually The perfect product will have Urban Decay Brush and quick drying formula with the Mac product.
