For Badgley Mischka’s spring/summer 2014 runway show this morning, nail artist Deborah Lippmann wanted to create an ethereal shade. She started with two coats of the creamy Blue Orchid and layered one coat of shimmery La Vie En Rose. The result was a softer, iridescent blue color. For a high-shine finish, she sealed the color with her own Gel Lab top coat.

Deborah created an “imperfect French” on the nails using La Vie En Rose (pastel petal pink shimmer) launching in Spring 2014, with an intentionally flawed accent across the tip using Pseudo Silk Kimono (milky alabaster white) in our matteen finish launching in October 2013. The nails symbolized a look when an archeologist “messed up” her French manicure while excavating for treasure. Each nail was completely different, making this look easy to achieve at home.
