Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

This has been a rave reviewed foundation all over, hence it was only matter of time before I lay my hands on it.

Capture the glow of perfect skin with Luminous Silk Foundation, an oil-free fluid with exclusive Micro-fil™ technology. So weightless, it re-defines foundation. Its hydrating fluid glides on seamlessly with a silky texture and all-day, buildable coverage. All skin types.

– Weightless and luminous oil-free fluid
– Natural finish
– All-day sheer to moderate coverage

It comes in a pump bottle. A little product goes a long way. The color once applied seems to be a bit off bit it gradually adapts to the natural skin tone and corrects it.
I have used a foundation brush and applied directly with finger tips and it works great either way.

OVERALL: It’s a great foundation. I purchased mine from http://m.nordstrom.com/s/2853110/ for $62, but since it’s water based, it didn’t help form the base for blush or shimmers. Sadly, it did not give the extra hydration my skin needed. It’s great on its own, don’t get me wrong, but it didn’t work “wonders” as a base on my dry skin. Also this has no SPF protection so it’s a great choice for flash photos!

    • To be honest, I love the Revlon and Estée Lauder works well too. Since they are not so color matched, I mix a bit of moisturizer and apply them. Armani was too color precise and so mixing with a lotion would kinda dilute the effect and the color.
