NYX Born To Glow liquid Illuminator In Sunbeam & Gleam

Take a look at the video the started my obsession for a shimmer face product.

I have been looking for the one right product that will work with my skin tone without maximizing the look of pores or making it look like I fell face first into a glitter basket.

The lighter toned is Sunbeam (Left) and the Golden colored is Gleam (Right).
Capture that sexy glow with our lightweight, multi-functional illuminator. Use as a foundation base or over cheekbones, décolletage, or cupids bow for that refreshing luminosity that’ll have everyone talking.

Swatches in day light , indirect and direct:

I mixed a tiny drop of each to get this lovely peach golden shimmer: applied over foundation)

OVERALL: the Sunbeam is a sure hit for me, it added a nice shimmer skin shine rather than a glitter. The Gleam have the wonderful sun kissed look but it did accentuate the skin pores, so it’s a bit tricky. I did love the effect by combining the two. It’s a worth buy!

  1. ohhh these look fab! I usually use powder highlights but sunbeam by benefit is another fave of mine and sunbeam by nyx looks like the perfect dupe!

    • Oh I didn’t know about Benefit highlighters, never really used them, so thank you for letting me know !!! I believe the Other one is also a “kinda” dupe to best seller NARS orgasm highlighter 😊

  2. I’ve been eyeing these off for a little while now, but I absolutely hate liquid highlighters! I love the look they create but just can’t get them to work!

What did you use to apply them? Fingers, brush, sponge?

    • I applied and spread with my fingers. But yes it’s tricky for even application and it did seem to dry quick, so maybe a sponge will work on the face better… Brush.. Eh not sure.
I also have the Nyx illuminating powder I’ll review soon .. That’s easy to apply with a brush .. But I have not used it yet to see the effects .

  3. I am mother of a son who is not sacpiel needs but certainly has his idiosyncracies which can lead to school problems, social problems and issues at home. Reading of your journey in learning how best to parent your children and maintain a loving family life has been INSPIRATIONAL. I thank you for sharing as I am learning from you and being reminded by you that the simple things and love make a family. My son thanks you too as you remind me to be more aware of being the best parent I can be even during, especially during, the rough spots! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!
